2012 Phat Phest at Shady Gators
Join us for Phat Phest 2012
to benefit Wonderland Camp this Saturday August 18th 2012!
Wonderland Camp is a camp for mentally and physically challenged individuals that was formed in 1969. Charles J. Miller dreamed of a residential summer camp where physically and mentally challenged individuals could experience the exhilaration of outdoor living and play. He envisioned a camp that would match the special needs and provide them with the maximum safety with freedom to really enjoy nature.
The goal of Wonderland Camp is to provide a fun educational camp for the mentally and physically challenged, offer a respite from daily care giving for family members and health care workers, and provide and nurture a personal development experience for volunteers and staff.
The 6th Annual Phat Phest will take place this Saturday and is an all-day affair, running from 11am Saturday until 1am Sunday. We will have several items up for auction that will benefit Wonderland Camp! The event is Free all day, with a cover charge beginning at 9pm. You can enjoy some of the greatest bands this year like: Phat Mike & The Bartenders, The Rough Ryders, Kayla Reeves & Wes Jeans, Kricket Alley, Backbone, JC The New King of Funk, Alderwood, Blue Collar Kings, Triangle Blue, and more!
This is always one of greatest days of the summer at Shady Gators, and we are super-excited about this years lineup! Hope to see you all at this great event for a great cause, the forecast is great, Chomp Chomp!!
